An Introduction to Nuno Felting

Blue and teal silk scarf by Jane Jacobs felted with hand-dyed merino wool

The felting process uses heat, agitation and moisture to bond wool fibres together into a strong cloth. Nuno felting (a reasonably new term) is the process of felting wool fiber onto other textiles.

In this workshop you will learn various techniques for nuno felting in the morning session and develop your skills in the afternoon felting a silk gauze scarf with hand-dyed merino wool.
